The School Sessions // Using Photography to Build a School in Haiti

As a lot of you know, I've been to Haiti multiple times over the past couple of years. I've seen firsthand the devastation that the 2010 earthquake took on the people, as well as the buildings.

When Jamie of The School Sessions emailed me asking me to get involved with the organization, it was a no brainer.

The School Sessions is a worldwide movement of individuals raising money to build a school in Haiti during the month of April. They team up with photographers across the globe, and for the month of April, 100% of all photography session costs go towards building a school for poverty-stricken children in Haiti.

How does it work? It's simple.

You book a session with me during the month of April, but instead of paying me, you donate the session cost to The School Sessions. You still get all of your photos, + kids in Haiti get a peaceful, quiet place to learn.

It's one of the most beautiful ideas I've ever come across, + I am honored to be partnering with The School Session this year to try and reach their goal of $150,000.
